Bittersweet Days
This week we are with our family in Virginia. Father's health is rapidly declining and together we are caring for him. These are bittersweet days.
When we ask father if he is in pain he usually shakes his head slowly and softly says no. He sleeps a lot and this is a comfort.
We are having sweet times as we share past memories and there is more laughter in these walls than tears.
Oren Jr. and Mark making breakfast.
Uncle Willard dropped in yesterday and joined us girls shelling peas.
Last night we were treated to lattes by Rebecca.
Emily is excited about practicing her machine quilting on this quilt top that Barbara pieced.
I love the twinkle in the grandchildren's eyes.

My eyes teared up just reading. What a blessing for you to be in such a close family. And even more a blessing that you can pray for God to just take him home and the assurance that he will be home.
My prayers will be with all of you as you go through this time.
Always in Him. Hugs to you.
I have said a prayer for you all. Find strength in your faith and in each other.
I am so sorry that you all are going through this hard time... My prayers are with you and I hope your Dad goes to the lord peacefully... You all are doing the best thing for him by talking about all the fun and great times you all have had and I am sure your Dad is enjoying this... My Heart goes out to all of you and everyone finds peace in your heart... Hugs and Prayers to you all.... :)
