Magnolia Mennonite Sewing Circle Quilt

At our Magnolia Sewing Circle I was in charge of this group of ladies making string blocks for a comforter top.

By the end of the day their 38 blocks made quite a show.

Greenwood Mennonite November Sewing Circle

Comfort top ready to be knotted.  Love the group of home schooled gals in the background busy at their school work.

These children add so much to our sewing circle.

Kristen showing us the snowman she made out of a sock.

Here a mother and daughter team visiting as they stitch.

Now what are the ladies sewing on in the background?

This scrappy quilt is taking shape.

Gertrude is a newcomer here at sewing and also a new quilter.  She shared with us three quilts she is making.  I asked her if she is getting hooked and the smile and "yes" answer she gave me was priceless.

Queena and Wava with their "shared" grandchildren.   Wava's son married Queena's daughter.

Back Into Sewing

This is a comfort top Mother pieced for sewing circle.  Notice the motorcycles.  She will take this to sewing circle and they will knot the comforter for a needy family.

While I was at mothers I started a scrappy quilt.

I will be making two of these quilts.  This quilt has a white border.  I plan to make a second one and use another color for the border.
In the lower left hand corner of the quilt I have cut out four blocks.  These blocks are placed below the quilt.  I will continue cutting and placing until I have the complete quilt done.  Go to this  earlier post
and this post and see where Autumn made the same quilt.  Posted by Barbara
