Blog Tour Posted by Barbara

Welcome to the 100  Block Quiltmaker blog tour. Follow the 100 Blocks Blog Tour daily Nov. 8-12 at quiltmaker.com/quilty pleasures for inspiration, ideas and giveaways galore!
My block in the magazine is Colorful Star Tricks.

My pattern "Star Tricks", a 48" x 48", was the incentive to make this block.  I made Colorful Star Tricks block smaller and didn't strip piece the stars.

My sister Julia made "Give the Girl a Twirl", 48" x 48", using variegated fabric.

Make a comment on my blog and get a chance to win my book "Star Struck Quilts" which has the "Star Tricks" pattern in it.
You can purchase this magazine at Patchwork Plus or Quiltmaker.

I have been trying to win your book...but even if I don't get that chance I will be buying it. I got to see it in person already at a quilt shop and was so excited!!

I walked into the shop without a penny in hand because I knew there was no money in the budget this time. But, sometimes it is fun to go look around...as long as one doesn't start coveting or something!

You three sisters do lovely work; and I cannot wait to obtain this book. When I do I shall blog about it everytime the book inspires a new quilt!

I am originally from Mennonite territory and have always been impressed with the quilts that are put up for auction. I was really taken with the Star Trick block in Quiltmaker's e-mail and clicked on it. WOW your quilts are superlative!

I have a copy of the 100 Blocks book, and your block was the one that I found most fascinating. I'm going to give it a try soon.

What a great block!!! I have a total fascination with stars. I look at your star and I see all the possibilities. Your quilt intrigues me with its color and composition I just love the fact that your sisters saw your star and gave it a personality of their own. I just love a block with a personality. Stars are soooo much fun!! I am looking forward to getting your book. I'm already mentally digging through my stash.
