Quilting Continues on my Farmer's Delight

Julia posts.
Can you help me name my quilt? I'm using the Farmer's Delight pattern in memory of my Grandmother Vera Heatwole. She made at least 15 bed size quilts with 20 blocks in each quilt in her life time. Grandmother used scraps to create her quilts and they turned out beautiful. Sometimes you see the pattern with only 1 ring of triangles around the center. My sister, Polly, drafted this pattern for paper piecing and she and Barbara made their own versions.

I decided to continue the design out into the border by quilting with dark plum thread.

And now, what name would you suggest for this small quilt?

I wouldn't even attempt to suggest a name. I will say that my birthday present arrived in the mail yesterday in spite of the blizzard. I felt so sorry for the mail man, the wind blowing the snow and him trying to walk in it.

I had 3 books...one of which was Star Struck Quilts. I was so happy!!!

It's past ll:00 this evening and my brain just can't come up with a name. I think it should have the word "Farmer or Delight" in it some how.
I love the way you continued the pattern in the quilting of the borders. Love it! Grandmother Vera would be proud and smile while giving a little chuckle. I can just hear her!

My first thought was that it should have Grandmother's name in there someway - Vera's Delight - or something like that.

"Tractor Wheel Delight" or "Farmer's Wheels"? I can't get away from wheels, because they look like they are spinning in action.

I think you should call it "Grandmother's Delight"... in memory of your grandmother... I am sure she would be proud of the quilt... Lovely job ... :)

This is magnificent... I am preparing a volume of short stories – some quite amusing – in Mennonite Low german with English translation... I wonder, could I make arrangements with you to use these images on the book cover? Contact me via michael àț evertype.com

Spectacular quilts!
